Prepare for your tan

    • Shower at least 3 hours before your appointment to remove any oils, lotions, or deodorants.

    • Shave, wax and exfoliate the skin at least 24 hours before your appointment. Exfoliation is the most important step to achieve optimal results that will last up to 10 days. We suggest using a good-quality scrub with an exfoliating mitt to eliminate dead skin cells and impurities. Pay attention to rough areas like feet, ankles, elbows, armpits, knuckles, and collarbones.

    • Avoid using any lotions, gels, shaving creams, or other oil-based as they could leave residues on your skin and prevent the solution from developing correctly.

    • Moisturize the skin days prior to your session (Do not do this on the day of your appointment).

    • Avoid wearing makeup, skincare products, sunscreen, perfume or deodorant on the day of your appointment.

    • Wear loose-fitting and dark-coloured clothing to avoid transfer and uneven results.

    • Bring a bathing suit or undergarments to wear during your tan (optional).

    • Avoid water, sweating, or skin-to-skin contact for 8-12 hours (or as directed).

    • Avoid waxing areas where the solution has been applied. A delicate shaving may be done occasionally.

    • Avoid lotion, soap, and body wash containing mineral oils, petroleum, and alcohol. These ingredients can affect the result and cause the tan to fade faster.

    • Exfoliate the body gently after 8-10 days to allow for an even fade.

DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the active ingredient in all NUDA sunless tanning products. It is a sugar molecule which is naturally derived from the beets or the sugar cane and the fermentation of glycerine. This ingredient reacts to the amino acids on the surface of the skin to simulate a tan. The intensity of the final tan will depend on the strength of the DHA contained within the product.

How long will my tan last?

Does this solution protect my skin from UV rays?

NUDA sunless tanning products do not contain any UV-protective agents. You should always apply sunscreen before exposing your skin to the sun.

How frequently can I come for a spray tan?

You can schedule a spray tan every 10-14 days, depending on how long your previous tan lasts and when it naturally fades. To allow for an even face, gently exfoliate the skin 8-10 days after your tan.

I just took my first post-tan shower and my tan came off! What do I do?

Don’t worry! The colour you see in the shower is the instant bronze that comes with all NUDE sunless tanning products. Your tan will continue to develop to its full potential 24 hours after showering.

In this case, we recommend getting a rapid solution. This solution is ideal if you’re on the go and looking to shower quickly after your appointment. The recommended development period is 1 to 5 hours.

  • Shower 3 to 4 hours after the application to achieve a medium tan.

  • Shower 4 to 5 hours after the application to achieve a dark tan.
